On April 26th, 2017 Justin and I went to a Bethel Worship Night, but for us it was an all day event. It was very rainy, and not a good day to be on the road all the way up to St. Louis. But it was so amazing. It was Justin’s birthday and his mom had gotten us tickets and unknown to me she had paid extra for us to go to a Q and A and an extra worship session that started a couple hours beforehand. I was so thankful for that, it was God appointed. My mom was visiting at the time so she graciously volunteered to watch the children for the whole day. These are my notes from that day. I took them on my phone the best I could.
– I just want to put a song in the hearts of My people. I knew this was over the people of St.James. We were talking about familiar songs on the way up here. They get stuck in your head and remind you of things.
-Perfectionism is rooted in fear, excellence is rooted in joy.
-Get used to the sound of your own voice. Teach others to hear and use their own voices.
-Roman’s 8 Abba
-Good worship leaders work themselves out of a job. Get people to dig their own wells and sing a new song unto the Lord.
-Ask God for a heart of compassion for the people. Every region is different. Asking God for the songs. Where is Joy leading us? Trust God will give you a good plan. Never diminish preparation. Ask for fresh love for the people and people will trust you and be able to go further with you.
-We need to learn how to honor. We need a culture of honor.
-Build tents of Thankfulness in the valleys of disappointment.
-I am God’s idea. I am not my own idea.
– Jesus didn’t reach His potential. Because He didn’t care about His potential. He carried out His mission.
-Are you carrying out God’s assignment for your life?
-Put your eyes on things that are unseen. Sing Over Them.
-Don’t chase the dreams God has for you. Chase the God that has dreams for you.
-Ask God for 2 or 3 dreams for you to steward. Adjustment. measurement. Move, turn. Adjust. Adjust. Move. Move. In a year you will be amazed. Plant a seed, don’t look at it. Grab one and plant it. Surround yourself with leaders that will help you and prune you.
