Away in a Manger

Buy This!

I found this song on my computer from last year and it made me think about how humble of a birth situation Jesus, the King of Kings, the Prince of Peace was born into. I made a big deal about where I was going to have my babies, carefully planning and picking out when and where.

But look at Mary…where she ended up laying her 1st born son, who was conceived miraculously by God when an angel spoke the Word from God to her… a manger, a feeding trough in a barn with the animals. Jesus was the “Wonder Bread” from heaven. As a man He famously said, “Take, eat. This is my body…This is my blood.” He truly IS the “Bread of Life”. Jesus is my Wonder Bread.

The picture in the video is a stone trough I found on pixabay.com . I put some filters on it to make it more interesting looking. But whether they lay Him in a wooden or a stone trough or manger – let’s be honest, it was more like a coffin or a tomb than a baby’s crib.
